New Haven, CT - After several weeks of production on the custom 18" frosted glass globes, the modifications have begun to modify the solid globe to accommodate an 8 3/4" opening on the bottom so it will fit on the fixture.
New Haven, CT - The Malaga Cove Library in the Palos Verdes Library District (CA) was designed in Spanish style by Pasadena architect, Myron Hunt, and constructed in 1929. In 1995 it was placed on the National Register of Historic Places. Grand Light was selected replicate lighting fixtures based on historic photographs of fixtures that are no longer in existance, which one were in the main area of the library. In addition to the replications of the historic pendants, Grand light will manufacture another style fixture, which was designed for the library at a later date for a new addition to the library.

New York, NY - Columbia University was founded in 1754 and it is the oldest institution of higher learning in the state of New York, the fifth in the United States. Over the years, the University expanded and changed locations, until in 1897, President of the University, Seth Low, built the Morningside Heights campus, as part of his grand design for an ideal University. This campus,  located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, is where Columbia University prospers to these days.

Grand Light was contracted by Columbia University to reproduce lighting components on existing lamp posts throughout the Morningside campus.

New Haven, C.T - Grand light has been contracted to restore a beautiful crystal chandelier for the Holy Trinity Orthodox Church in New Britain, C.T. 
New Haven, CT - Grand Light has completed restoration work on four historic lighting fixtures from Yale University's Briton Hadden Memorial Building, home to the Yale Daily News.
New Haven, CT - The restoration and replication of 216 Gothic-style pendant lighting fixtures from Yellowstone National Park's Old Faithful Lodge has been completed.
Yellowstone Insider, an independent publication covering happenings in and about Yellowstone National Park, recently highlighted Grand Light's efforts to restore and replicate 188 gothic-style pendant luminaires from Yellowstone's Old Faithful Lodge. New Haven, CT - Whether a lighting restoration project involves minor repairs or recreating an entire fixtures that had been lost or destroyed, work on historic glass can often require the use of replacement material. 
PHILADELPHIA, PA - The replication and restoration of a large outdoor lantern from the Shrine of the Miraculous Medal has been completed.  
Yellowstone National Park, WY - Grand Light recently dispatched a two-man team to the historic Old Faithful Lodge to remove and transport 188 lighting fixtures from Geyser Hall for restoration and replication.
WEEHAWKEN, NJ - The restoration and preservation of eight wall sconces with mica shades Weehawken High School and Theodore Roosevelt School in Weehawken, NJ has been completed.
PHILADELPHIA, PA - The replication of a large outdoor lantern from the Shrine of the Miraculous Medal is nearing completion.  It will soon be given a matte-black textured finish and then rewired in accordance with UL standards.

"Spiffed Up Shubert" - New Haven Register This past Sunday, the New Haven Register's Donna Doherty reported on the recent restoration work carried for the Shubert Theater in an article titled "Spiffed-Up Shubert".

From the article:

"Kaplan and Fisher are quite happy with the way the repair/restoration has been handled, especially since, through their research and recommendations from city engineers, they found that the best people for the job were local companies: Cheshire's John Canning & Co., Ltd. Painting & Conservation Studios and Grand Light & Supply, which has restored all the light fixtures, calling in Branford stained-glass artist Jayne Crowley for her expertise."
WEEHAWKEN, NJ - Grand Light has begun work on the complete restoration of eight wall sconces from Weehawken High School and Theodore Roosevelt School in Weehawken, NJ.
NEW HAVEN, CT - An outdoor lighting fixture, previously restored by Grand Light, has been replicated for installation at Yale University's Calhoun College.
CONCORD, MA - This past Tuesday, restoration professionals from Grand Light returned to Minute Man National Historical Park in Concord, Massachusetts to reinstall a beautifully restored crystal chandelier. The chandelier had been on display for a number of decades in the Stedman Buttrick House, which serves as the park's headquarters and visitors' center for the historic North Bridge.
