Lighting Restoration Guidelines
Founded in 1929, Grand Light has been serving the lighting needs of homeowners and professionals for over 75 years with a large range of products and dedicated and knowledgeable staff. In addition to offering a full line of residential and commercial lighting products and services, Grand Light is also an experienced restorer of historical lighting fixtures and a manufacturer of custom lighting fixtures. Grand Light's team of lighting restoration experts have restored, replicated and manufactured fixtures at every scale, for both businesses and individual clientele. The technical and artistic capabilities of Grand Light's restoration team, combined with a dedication to preserving the historical integrity of a piece, make Grand Light's professionals the most suitable choice for your light restoration projects.
Our team has the all the tools, expertise and artistry required to complete a restoration fully, accurately and professionally. Our capabilities include, but are not limited to: metal fabrication, welding, brazing, soldering, metal polishing and finishing, sandblasting, glass fabrication and laser cutting. Previous projects have required the utilization of these techniques, and we also have experience disassembling and cleaning fixtures, stripping paint and old finishes from metal pieces, recreating missing components, refinishing metals, and replacing damaged glass components. Additionally, Grand Light's team has experience working with many different styles of fixtures, and from many different settings - residential, institutional, private and commercial.
Using our capabilities appropriately and carefully is something we pride ourselves on. From beginning to end, working with Grand Light means working with a team of professionals who will give your project personal attention. Our process begins with reviewing photographs or an on-site inspection to gather the scope of a restoration job. From there, Grand Light will develop a detailed proposal. When required, Grand Light will also prepare conceptual sketches and diagrams, and conduct research to assure the historical accuracy of all restoration jobs. Once the project is approved, Grand Light will either pick up the fixture personally, or shipped to our workshop and begin the restoration process. We like to keep our clients involved as we work for them, and keep them informed of our progress. It's important to us that a client who has entrusted us with a restoration be comfortable with the work we do for them; therefore, we make ourselves available to them at all times - ensuring complete satisfaction from beginning to end.
